KOJIN-KAI KARATE CLUB

Traditional Kyokushin Karate taught with a modern approach.

ASHFORD, KENT

Kojin-Kai Karate Club is a fully independent Kyokushin Karate Association based in Ashford town centre, offering training for children aged 5+ and adults.

We are a family-run club shaped by our students. We teach traditional Kyokushin karate with a modern mindset, valuing effort, character and long-term development alongside technique. At Kojin-Kai, training is about more than performance alone. It is a place that values each person in their own right, and which students consistently describe as a supportive environment where they feel they belong.

Junior Class
(5 – 8yrs)

Wednesday’s at 17:30 – 18:30 and Sunday’s at 09:00 – 10:00

A fun and welcoming introduction to karate for younger children, focusing on building confidence, coordination, and basic karate skills. Students are supported in developing at an age- and ability-appropriate pace, making this class ideal for both newcomers to karate and children with some prior experience.

Training remains engaging and encouraging, with a greater focus on learning karate skills, developing technique, and building confidence in ways that suit older students. Suitable for complete beginners and those with more karate experience.

Sophie and Harry absolutely love attending Kojin-Kai Karate Ashford. The Karate classes have given both of our children a boost in their self confidence and self discipline. Classes are always extremely fun, enjoyable and are very rewarding.

Sophie and Harry have earned a real sense of achievement throughout their gradings whilst learning new self defence skills, earning new colour belts and certificates along the way, as well as being able to take part in tournaments if they wish!

Classes are always designed to meet the children’s own pace of learning with praise and positive feedback given along the way building further confidence to the children. Classes are small, family orientated with a really nice atmosphere where everyone is also valued! The club also has really great safeguarding skills and are first aid trained too!

Kojin-Kai Karate Club is the best place to be! Thank you Millie and Ryan for everything, you guys are the reason this happened. So thankful to be apart of this club. You have inspired my daughter and me and we are forever grateful for the time you put in and the support you give to every individual student.

Brilliant karate club with great ethos. The instructors here really take the time to help every student, which is a rarity as many clubs just focus on getting numbers through the door. My son loves going to class, as the culture is about having fun, as well as the serious stuff of learning karate and fitness. Highly recommended.
